An End to the Playful Blog

Hey y'all ! I guess it has been a long time, ( at least for me) before I wrote a post again. So, its that time, where I would have to say adieu to my cool readers! Though I write shit content, you guys read it, even though you could have spent your time doing something more useful ( but thanks anyways ppl!). I didn't want to go incommunicado without saying a big goodbye! I won't be writing any more posts as of  now. There have been some crazy ass changes in my life. But this entire "blog-about-random-stuff" period of life, was interesting...I learnt a lot ! I know there are a lot of topics I could talk about, a lot of unfinished topics and ideas. But I'm putting an end to any of that. It's a little sad, but maybe in the future, I'll start writing again! One thing, was....this shit was awesome! Openly screaming to the world and not caring a bit about what it meant! It  was awesome to express myself. These series of posts serve as a reminder about the t...

At the Heels of Gods

Image
I was recently watching many superhero shows like “The Boys” and “Invincible” and boy…the are crazy shows! These shows truly show the brutality of what it means to be a hero. Not a benevolent saviour, but a man cursed to live forever with his powers. Let me start with a simple question…. What happens when you get everything you ever wanted? Well, it is not so simple, is it? The sheer magnitude of personal goals and dreams on this planet is more than enough to saturate one’s mind. One might want to live a quiet life on the Himalayas, isolated from the rest of the world, whereas another person might be thinking of living dangerously on Proxima b ( a planet of Alpha Centauri AB , our nearest star), to live life at the edge and push human boundaries. Well, to satisfy most goals of the world, what if, I ( the thunderous lord! xD) gave you complete power that made you a “super” human. You would have great strength ( rationally, I would say….good enough to lift the weight of Mt. Everest) , su...

War

Image
Hello y'all, 'is been a long time since I last wrote(xD) .Well, this is off the season rant about nothingness and boringness, and how the time passes. I recently re-watched an old classic, " Saving Private Ryan " and watched a new one ( not technically new, but newer compared to the former), " The Hurt Locker ". Both these movies are related to war, and given the context that the Russo-Ukrainian War is going on right now, I could relate to those young soldiers out there and I made a lot of insights. There is not much background music in both the movies, which aimed to show the raw, brutal, unfaithfulness of war. I can’t seem to get ahead of the fact that sometimes, we humans are totally weird and murderous, but other times we are peaceful and creative. This kind of duality makes me think about who I am and how I should look at my identity as a human being. See, I am not against war or something. Wars are a part of human nature that has been happening fo...

The Parallelism of Life

Image
You guys must be thinking, "Hmmm....what a weird title?". So, to clarify, I think this is based on a common experience that everyone has, and has probably wondered about sometime in the life. If you haven't and this is completely new to you, have this for food for thought! So, basically, I was thinking how most of us live our lives , eating, reading ,suffering, entertaining and pleasuring ourselves over the course of around 80 years, and how it came to be. Some of us plan to achieve great things, maybe become "great", others....(like me😂) live 'lives of quite desperation'. We strive, and keep on striving to achieve one thing or the next, whether it be money, status, kids, etc, etc. During our childhood we are mostly dictated on developing and having fun times with friends, in our young adulthood, we are mostly concerned with achieving status and getting the right life partner. During our middle age, it is about family and health management. When senesce...

To a new year!

Image
As a whole month of this new year is finally coming to an end, we can revisit  our resolutions and thoughts and plans we formed for this year. Did you follow it? Were you able to keep with your expectations? I hope so, because I'm about to propose something that might hurt your feelings.😁 The "new year resolution", is a peculiarly interesting idea which has a nice history.  But it is of my opinion that this new year resolution thing is something only humans do but not animals. Yeah , sure animals have no concept of  "self-improvement', or even a self for that matter, but they really don't think the way we do. It's an interesting idea to think if your cat makes a new year's resolution such as "I'm going to be more responsive to my owner this year " xD But all in all though it might a good thing for mental health of an individual, but as a social etiquette, it is pretty weak. I’m sure that many people around the world think the same way. ...

Thoughts about Sleeplessness

Image
Hey, I know it's been a long, long time since I last posted anything. But this post is going to one of the last posts of the year 2021. Ciao 2021 ! This post is going to be a rant about a few observations of mine about sleeplessness and how it affects your mental wellbeing as a whole. So there are obviously some myths and some pre conceptions about being sleepless. Some of them are true, but most of them have not been experienced by us. There was even a crazy urban myth about " The Russian Sleep Experiment " but I think it is a sham. The technical for not able to fall asleep is called insomnia. And...this is not a new thing, it was there since our ancestors were present. There are multiple documentations of sleeplessness from times unknown.  We have not been truly sleepless. Yes sure, we lose about 5- 10 hours of sleep but no longer. Usually, it doesn't cause not any physical problem to a person, but more the deterioration of the brain which is not a good thing. But ...

The weird thing of being alive

Image
Sorry! Long time no see! I am back with another mindless, unrefined and  unstructured thoughts on mine.  This post is going to be more about an 'off the shore' rant about how humans perceive life and how the actuality of life exists in its true sense.  Sounds boring? Cause it probably is....but if you haven't clicked away yet....what you can really takeaway from this post is a sense of realness and a 'not so unique' perspective on the nature of human existence. The way that humans pass through existence is pretty unique. We use the output of multiple senses and process these images for better understanding of the world. Sometimes the things we think are conscious, or may be unconscious. We cannot differentiate between inputs that can make sense and things that don't make sense in itself. Take dreams for example, we don't realize that we are in a dream until there is something amiss or wrong with the entire logic of events. In that sense, we can't differe...

Evolution and the Human Lifespan

Image
Evolution is powerful and continuous process that is happening all around us. Though it seems a mystery and a bit unintuitive for human living in 'urban society', traces of evolution has been all around us. This might be one of the most famous images representing evolution. But this too, is but a restricted view.  We should remember, evolution is a term, natural selection is the process, hence the common phrase: "Evolution by natural selection". But the question is, can we humans truly appreciate the beauty of evolution? Sure, there are things around us that undergo evolution on scales that are visible, but as humans, can we truly see changes in ourselves? Well, I hate to break it to you...but no. We anatomically modern humans, we just came around 80,000 years ago. That is nothing compared to the vast galactic timescales. Considering that an average human lives for around 80 years, the 'MAXIMUM' a person can live for is 0.001% of modern human history. Mind yo...

AI Science

Image
Rationality is a funny thing. When we think we are the most rational, we usually are irrational. Our tiny human intellect cannot sometime comprehend when and where we are going wrong. I would like to argue that rationality is also....a human thing. Our ideas are only.....as big as us. By Beyond My Ken - Own work, CC BY-SA 4.0, Wikipedia defines rationality as "  the quality or state of being rational – that is, being based on or agreeable to  reason". But...what is reason? Is it not something created by humans, to comprehend the cosmos? I would imagine someone like Spock from the Star Trek universe to have a completely different approach. Imagine their gods, their culture. Its completely alien to imagine so. Yet, we humans , especially a special branch of humans ( extremist scientists) claim that "everyone can be rational" and everything can be "boiled down" to physics and logic. Yes, it's true that the physics that humans developed works in describing...

On the Shoulders of Giants

Image
This is the first possible general purpose computing device called ENIAC. It was developed in 1945, merely a 75 years ago. And this is Fujitsu Fugaku, the Japanese Supercomputer which is currently the fastest computer in the world. I'm not even going to try to measure the differences between their computing speeds. No one can comprehend anyways In just 75 years, we went from 0 to some crazy off the scale number! I know not many people bat an eye, but this is startlingly fast. Nothing has been this fast in growth in human history. Period. I personally cannot understand how the ENIAC worked. It is not comprehendible by the mind of one average guy. But that's the beauty of human knowledge, it doesn't depend on "one guy". It is the sum total of all the knowledge we humans have ever gained.  Human collective knowledge and our ability of transferring knowledge from generation to generation gave us huge evolutionary advantage to other species. I know, many people have al...

My thoughts on Solitude

Image
Solitude is a very special state of mind. Most people do not wish to dwell into this. It's a state of mind that can give you a peaceful vibes or equally destructive thoughts.  Personally, I'm a solitude seeking guy. You see, people and social connections are important yes and also, they are very essential for maintaining basic mental stability, but this lets you have no thoughts of your own. Everything you do and say is either a copy of someone else's mannerisms or a view of their ideas.  On the other hand thinking, it's different. Thinking is something that can't be replicated. As an example, two mathematicians solving the same problem. They might take the same approach in solving the problem but they won't think about it the same way. It's never the same thinking. In my country, India, being a silent guy is very stereotypical with being a genius. Though the trend is changing, other than the youth themselves no one else understands what youngsters are going...

The Universe Doesn't care about us

Yeah, yeah.....I know the title is kinda overstated and I might look like some random punk guy trying to be this young guy with rebellious attitude and saying this to anyone, but these are just pure thoughts of mine ( which is hugely influenced by where I spend my time online) which I would like to put out. I am sure that many people have already spoke and written about this single idea of mine, but this post  is going to be about my experience on how I understood it. This post doesn't offer a conclusion or thought process that you can hold on to, but it shines a light over a perspective I have to offer. Consider an average person. He is born in a middle class family. He is smart, ambitious wants to make his mark on the world. When he was 25, while visiting a fairly secluded temple, he walks into a beautiful orchid which was pretty reserve and undisturbed for a long time. There was a huge boulder in the middle. The man, being frustrated with his entire life until now, decides...

Depression and Mental Health

Image
I know this is kinda  subjective and sensitive topic. But I think that this topic is not given as much as attention as it should be given in the modern world. This world has been misused several times in our present generation. Especially young people, typically post that they are "#Depressed" to evoke empathy from netizens. But there are truly people out there, who are affected by this and they are the ones we need to focus on and help. Wikipedia defines depression as "a mental disorder characterized by at least two week of pervasive low mood". I consider depression as a dangerous state of mind that I never want to be in. It usually takes weeks to months to get back to your normal activity and there is no way to "speed it up". It is a dynamically unstable state of mind and its very difficult to change. I am a firm believer of rationalization. Everything could be rationally analysed through the laws of science.. But situations like death of a loved one, t...

Rant about Beauty

Image
Everybody has their own version of beauty. Some have real life models as a role model for beauty, some hold themselves as models of beauty. But that is not the kind of beauty I am talking about here. Today I want to talk about aesthetic beauty. Before I go on...take a good look at the picture below, Its a  nice painting isn't it? Most people see nothing beyond it. Hell, today's photographs are wayyy prettier than this painting. But a painting is judged based not only on its beauty.... but also it's significance. For me, a painting is an expression of an artist's conception. It is something he/she ( Go Gender neutrality!) works on for a certain period of time......it is something different because paintings are never produced with the cold hard rationality of science. It is produced based on the artist's mood, his feelings, his thoughts... That is the effect of great art....they are more than just some colours mixed together, sometimes, they speak to us....artists w...

The True Nature of Randomness

Image
We humans are pretty funny beings. We think we are at the center of the world, always, and that the world was "made" for us. Though there is a certain percentage of people who know this try to behave otherwise. I think that evolution has shaped us to be like this. Always trying to reach out to some "ideal form" of life.  "We should live the greatest lives possible."  "We should live like kings and queens." "We deserve to live a good life on this planet." But true life is not like that is it? It is something more real....something more pure.....something that isn't optimistic as us. The universe doesn't give a shit about you or your goddamn achievements. You could achieve the status of Steve Jobs, Alexander the great, or any other great guy, but ultimately, we all die. Life is inherently meaningless and all we do is find our own meaning to live out some 80 years( Average human lifespan?) and to then die. This line of thinking is...

Crumbled Greatness

Image
We all know how the influence of great people of the past presents itself on the younger generation. Whether it be Pythagoras in giving us the Pythagorean theorem, or Nicholas Copernicus to introduce us to the heliocentric model of the universe, great men have always held a shining light for budding scientists and researchers.  Even in our modern culture, there will always be an "Einstein of the class" in every standard, also "Newton" who always gives these deep( but boring) thoughts. Generally no one knows any "geniuses" who are currently living except in rare cases( like Stephen Hawking, who also passed a few years back). This is because people are not recognized for who they were and what they did, but what they actually contributed to science. These men and women produced breakthroughs in science in their times, which absolutely blew most of other scientists minds. For example, take Madam Curie for her breakthroughs in radioactivity, or Nikolas Tesla ...

The First Post

Image
Hey random reader. You have decided to enter an online cave of stupidity, naivetes and maybe.....just maybe some interesting stuff. Please don't expect me to follow "language of etiquette" here, because I am one of those guys who doesn't care about how something looks, as long it conveys the idea. I am what you could call a internet buff. I live on the internet. It is a dangerous, yet beautiful place. I prefer to compare the internet to the peak of a mountain.... it is beautiful up there . Yet a small misstep could plummet you to death.  All of the information I write and I will write are mostly influenced by various personalities on the internet. What you can expect in this blogsite is my various takes on how the world works. The small things that people miss out. I will take you through a mind of a early 20s procrastinator. My aim in writing these blog posts are to reach out to people who have similar ideas that I have , and also to influence people who don't h...
